Emergency Response

The Emergency Response Unit is a 24X7rescue team –ready to respond to any medical or social crisis anywhere on the streets of Kolkata. This squad of dedicated social workers put relentless efforts to save the lives of persons in dire medical emergency. Besides these, this unit also intervenes providing care and support to the victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, human rights violation etc on emergency basis. Not only the team responds to any type of disaster – manmade or natural, and gives all possible support required, but also, through this service we have been able to reunite hundreds of lives with their families, placed a number of abandoned old people in suitable homes through our strong referral network, rescued a number of patients on the road, made arrangements for their treatment and then suitable placements.

This Emergency Response Team is often called in to support in the incidents like fire, storm, building Collapses, Road accidents or stand-by at the Police Control Room or at different strategic locations during “high-alert” times.

Save Life Kolkata:
This initiative is an endeavor to create an environment of public safety for the people of Kolkata.    HIVE, alongwith the Community Police wing of Kolkata Police, conducts different training programs in the field of mutual capacity building for delivering better and effective public safety services. It also arranges different awareness programmes on different issues for safety and awareness for the citizens of the city.
